Isabella’s Class of 2026 Senior Photos in Vancouver Washington

Class of 2026 | Vancouver Washington and Portland Oregon Senior Photographer

Isabella’s senior session was such a fun summer evening with so many different locations and outfits! Izzy is part of the Class of 2026, and we had an awesome mix of city streets, golden grass fields, river views, and even a sailboat at the marina. We started at Sean’s Studio in Vancouver, Washington, for hair and makeup before heading out for an afternoon of senior pictures. With seven outfits planned, we had plenty of variety to work with throughout the session.

One thing I love about summer senior sessions is being able to start in the afternoon and finish with sunset photos by the water. For Izzy, we planned the locations so we could begin with urban backgrounds and work our way toward the river as the light got softer. The marina was a really fun addition to her session, and we ended the evening on a sandy river beach with the sun setting over the water.

Our first location was an urban loading dock with a vintage yellow platform. Izzy wore a sage green linen romper with white sneakers, which was a great casual outfit to start her senior pictures. I loved the contrast between the soft green romper and the yellow industrial background. The loading dock gave us a different look from the usual city streets, and the platform added some fun details to the photos.

Next, we headed to the downtown sidewalks for her second outfit. Izzy changed into a navy ruffle top with light-wash wide-leg jeans and sneakers. We photographed near black metal railings, which gave us some clean lines and a more modern city background. I always enjoy working with downtown locations because there are so many different spots to use without having to travel very far. The navy top also looked great against the darker railings, while the lighter jeans kept the outfit casual.

After finishing our city photos, we moved into a tall grass field for a completely different setting. Izzy wore a floral cami with distressed jeans, which fit perfectly with the relaxed summer look of this location. The golden grass added texture to the background, and the afternoon sunlight was starting to get warmer. I love including a field during senior sessions because it gives us a natural setting that looks so different from downtown. The floral print was a great choice for this part of the afternoon.

Girl senior pictures in Vancouver, WA during golden hour wearing a butter yellow tiered maxi dress beside a rocky riverbank with sparkling water in the background.

From there, we headed toward the river for one of my favorite outfits from Izzy’s session. She changed into a butter yellow tiered maxi dress, and we photographed along a rocky riverbank with the sunlight reflecting off the water behind her. The backlighting was beautiful! I loved how the yellow dress looked with the warm light and sparkling river. The longer dress also gave us some movement in the photos, which worked really well with the rocks and open water in the background.

Girl senior photos in Vancouver, WA wearing a white halter dress and black platform sandals while posing among sunlit greenery near the river.

We stayed near the river for her next outfit but moved into an area with sunlit greenery. Izzy wore a white halter dress with black strap platform sandals. This gave us a brighter, simpler look compared to the yellow dress by the rocky shoreline. The green background made the white dress stand out, and the sunlight coming through the leaves added a really pretty touch to her portraits. It’s always fun to see how much the photos can change just by moving to a nearby location and switching outfits.

One of the most unique parts of Izzy’s senior session was our stop at the marina. She changed into a light blue halter crop top with a white ruffle skirt, which was such a cute outfit for the sailboat photos. We photographed on a sailboat and along the wooden dock, with the sun glowing behind the boats. This was definitely a highlight of the evening! I loved having the sailboats in the background, and the light blue and white outfit worked perfectly with the water and marina setting.

The marina was also a great example of how adding a location that is a little different can make a senior gallery feel more personal. We had already photographed city streets, fields, and river scenery, but the sailboat gave us something completely new. The wooden dock, boats, and warm evening sunlight all worked together to make this part of the session really memorable.

For our final stop, we headed to a sandy river beach just in time for sunset. Izzy changed into a white lace and coral floral maxi dress, which was the perfect way to finish her senior pictures. By this point, the sun was getting low over the water, giving us that warm sunset glow I always love photographing. The soft colors in her dress looked beautiful against the sandy beach and golden light.

I especially loved ending the session here because the beach gave us an open background with the water stretching out behind her. After all the different locations and outfits earlier in the afternoon, it was nice to finish with a relaxed setting and beautiful evening light. These sunset portraits were such a great ending to Izzy’s senior session!

Izzy’s senior pictures are a great example of how much variety we can fit into a summer session around Vancouver, Washington. We started with an industrial loading dock, moved through downtown sidewalks and golden fields, photographed along the river, and even spent time on a sailboat before finishing at the beach. Each outfit worked with its location, and I loved how different every part of her gallery looked.

Summer is one of my favorite times for senior photography because the longer evenings give us plenty of daylight for multiple outfits and locations. Planning the session around the sunset also means we can save places like open fields, marinas, and river beaches for the best evening light.

Izzy, thank you for such an awesome senior session! I had so much fun photographing all seven of your outfits and visiting so many different locations with you. The sailboat photos were definitely a highlight, and I loved finishing the evening with your floral dress on the beach at sunset. Congratulations on your senior year and the Class of 2026!
