Winter Wonderland Red Dress Shoot

Meet Hailey! This winter has been absolutely crazy! I cannot tell you the last time that I saw this much snow in the Vancouver Washington / Portland metro area. Over the course of about a day and a half, we received almost 13″ of snow in my area and at least half a foot throughout all parts of Vancouver. Now unlike a lot of other cities and areas that are equipped for this kind of snow, Portland likes to shut down the entire city. Snow plows and salt on roads are foreign concepts to us Pacific Northwesterners. What this meant was a lot of time for snow shoots since the snow never melted and everyone was out of school!

For this shoot, I partnered up with my good friend Hue of Portraits by Hue for another amazing shoot in the snow! Her thoughts on how to style this shoot were spot on. While I knew that I wanted to shoot a dress, she really pushed the idea for a red dress and found the perfect model, Hailey, to model the dress for us. Thank you for your amazing vision on this shoot and seriously this was all you!

All in all, it was totally worth getting sick after the shoot for these amazing images of Hailey. Thank you to Hailey and Kristi for braving it out in the cold with us for several hours while Hue and I went to town to create some gorgeous snow images!
