RA Long High School – Upscale & Editorial Downtown Portland Senior Pictures

Meet Abbey! Every session starts out by planning the wardrobe and then figuring out which locations will work perfectly for the outfits that we selected. When we were working to plan her session, Abbey sent me one specific top that I knew we could style perfectly to give super editorial vibe. We ended up pairing this with some bell bottom jeans, some heeled booties and the perfect sunglasses! These turned out being our favorite images since they were so different than other senior portraits! I am always so happy when seniors are willing to trust me and go out on a limb a little bit with their outfits. The session was perfect since it wasn’t too hot in downtown Portland! We started out in one of the more upscale areas of Portland and worked our way over to the more industrial areas (which I lowkey love to shoot in). I had so much fun during your session and it was fantastic working with you for your senior portraits!

Who are some of your favorite bands/musicians to listen to?: “Drake, Bryson Tiller, Partynextdoor, Future, Rihanna”

What does true beauty mean to you?: “True beauty comes from within. As cliché as it sounds, true beauty will shine through a person no matter what their outer appearance. My grandma always used to say “Pretty is only skin deep, but ugly goes straight to the bone.” It always reminded me that if your outlook on life is negative and ugly, your outward appearance will take on and portray that attitude. I always believe that someone that is genuinely happy is much more attractive than a negative person with a bitter attitude. True beauty is genuine happiness and kindness, and no amount of money or materialistic possessions can alter or produce true beauty.”
