Carson’s Senior Photos in Vancouver, Washington

Seton Catholic Prep High School | Vancouver WA Senior Photographer

Carson’s senior session was all about creating a gallery with plenty of variety. From polished city portraits to relaxed outdoor photos and meaningful images on the golf course, every stop gave us a different look. We planned the session for a beautiful fall afternoon, which gave us comfortable temperatures and soft evening light as we moved between locations around Vancouver.

We started the session at Sean’s Studio in Vancouver before heading into one of my favorite urban areas downtown. One of the best things about photographing senior pictures in Vancouver is how quickly we can move between modern architecture, brick walls, waterfront streets, and natural locations without spending much time driving.

Carson’s first outfit was a white polo paired with chino pants at a black brick wall that gave his portraits a clean, timeless style. The dark textured background made the lighter outfit stand out while keeping the focus on him. It was a great way to begin the session and set the tone for the rest of the evening.

Next, Carson changed into a blue suit for photos around the Vancouver waterfront. Instead of adding a tie, we kept the look more relaxed while still giving him a polished style. The city streets, modern buildings, and waterfront scenery worked perfectly with the suit and created senior portraits that felt both classic and current.

For a completely different look, Carson put on a black bomber jacket with black jeans and his Air Jordan shoes. This outfit brought a more casual feel to the session while still fitting naturally with the downtown setting. We explored different streets and walkways, creating images that showed off his personality while adding even more variety to his gallery.

After leaving the city, we headed toward the river where Carson changed into a simple white t-shirt and jeans. Sometimes the most relaxed outfits create some of my favorite portraits because they allow seniors to feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. The river provided a peaceful backdrop that balanced the more urban locations from earlier in the day.

As the sun began to set, we made our way to an open field where Carson wore a flannel shirt layered with a vest. Fall is one of my favorite times for senior portraits because the warm colors and lower sun create beautiful light. The golden glow during this part of the session gave his photos a completely different feel and added another layer of variety.

We wrapped up the evening at a local golf course, which was one of the highlights of Carson’s session. Golf has been an important part of his high school experience, so it only made sense to include it in his senior pictures. Wearing his letterman jacket, we created portraits on the course while dramatic clouds filled the sky behind him. Those final images helped tell more of his story and made the session feel personal.

I always encourage seniors to include activities, sports, or hobbies that have shaped their high school years. Those details make every session unique and create photos that become even more meaningful years from now. Carson’s golf portraits were the perfect way to finish a session that reflected so many different sides of his personality.

Carson, thank you for choosing me to photograph your senior pictures! It was a great afternoon exploring Vancouver and creating a gallery with so much variety. I hope you have an amazing senior year at Seton Catholic Prep High School, and I wish you nothing but success in everything that comes next.
