The
Andrew and Nathan’s senior session was a great reminder that senior pictures don’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. As twins graduating from Seton Catholic College Preparatory High School, they wanted a session that felt relaxed while capturing this milestone together. We spent the afternoon exploring several urban locations throughout Portland, Oregon before finishing at sunset with a variety of city-inspired portraits.
One of the biggest priorities for the session was making sure we included their BMW. Since it’s a car they share together, it was the perfect way to add something personal to their senior pictures. I always encourage seniors to include hobbies, vehicles, or interests that represent this season of life because those details make the final gallery even more meaningful years down the road.
Andrew started the session wearing a brown hoodie while we photographed with the BMW. The casual outfit paired perfectly with the car and gave his portraits a laid-back feel. From there, he changed into a white button-up shirt for an upscale city look against light brick buildings, creating a clean and timeless style. Later, he wore a simple white t-shirt around the modern glass windows downtown, where we also captured several photos of both brothers together. We wrapped up Andrew’s individual portraits with a black zip-up sweatshirt for another casual urban look around the city streets.
Nathan also brought several outfits that worked perfectly with each location. He began with a black button-up shirt featuring white stripes while photographing with the BMW, creating a sharp look that complemented the car. His next outfit was a blue polo as we explored areas with glass windows, concrete walkways, and steel railings that added plenty of variety to the gallery. Later, Nathan changed into a white shirt with cargo pants and Nike shoes with blue accents that tied the entire outfit together. He finished the evening wearing a red shirt with light-colored chino pants for another modern city look.
One thing I really enjoyed about this session was photographing the twins together throughout the evening. Having a brother alongside you naturally makes the experience feel easier and more relaxed, especially for guys who may not be excited about having their pictures taken. The interaction between Andrew and Nathan made for genuine moments that added another layer to their senior gallery while still allowing each of them to have plenty of individual portraits.
Portland offers so many different urban backdrops within a short distance, making it easy to create a gallery that feels diverse without spending the entire session driving from place to place. Between the modern architecture, glass buildings, brick walls, concrete textures, and city streets, every outfit felt like it had its own unique setting while still keeping a consistent style throughout the session.
Andrew and Nathan, thank you both so much for trusting me with your senior pictures! It was a fun afternoon exploring Portland together and creating portraits that celebrate both your personalities and your bond as brothers. I hope you both have an incredible senior year and enjoy everything that comes next!
