Sean Brown Named One of the Top 3 High School Senior Photographers in the Nation

I’m beyond excited to share some incredible news! I was recently named to the Top 100 High School Senior Photographers list by Senior Style Guide Magazine for the TENTH YEAR IN A ROW —and even more exciting, I was honored as one of the ONLY 3 photographers in the entire nation to earn the Leading Legends Distinction and be entered into the Hall of Fame. 

Each year, Senior Style Guide Magazine hosts one of the most prestigious awards in the high school senior photography world. This year, they received over 6,500+ image submissions from senior photographers all across the country. Being included in the Top 100 list is an incredible honor on its own—but being selected as one of the Top 3 photographers nationwide is truly a dream come true.

For me, though, this award is about so much more than just the photos. It’s about what those images represent. Here are the images that were selected by the judges and picked out from all the thousands of images.

How I Approach Senior Portraits

The foundation of every great senior portrait starts long before I ever pick up my camera. It starts with creating a real connection with every senior I work with.

I believe that the best images happen when your photographer takes the time to really get to know you—your personality, your style, and your vision for your senior photos. That connection is everything. When you’re comfortable and confident in front of the camera, the photos reflect you, not just a pose or a location.

One of the biggest compliments I hear from my seniors is that their photos “feel like them.” That is always my goal. I want you to look back at these images years from now and remember exactly who you were in this season of life.
