Check If They Offer Archive Quality Photo Products

This goes to show that even though having your digital images is important, you also want to make sure that you photographer offers incredible archive quality photo products like albums and wall art that you can have forever. I’m not talking about what you can get at Costco… I’m talking about albums with thick pages with lustre finish that will protect against fingerprints and UV light so that your photos look gorgeous for years to come!

When booking your senior photographer, make sure that this is something they offer and ask to see samples of their work before booking them so you know you’re investing in a quality product!

Is Your Photographer Consistent?

I have had many seniors book me after they’ve already had photos done and the reason makes me incredibly sad each and every time… Their photographer took a million pictures, gave them all the digital images, but there were only one or two that they liked.

No matter how many digital images your photographer offers you, you need to make sure that each and every one of them is going to look amazing! If your photographer doesn’t have the ability to consistently take incredible images that make you look exactly the way you want to, it’s time to consider looking for another photographer.

What Kind of Experience Do You Want?

Experience is a huge part of your senior photos. Many photographers won’t take the time to help you prep before your session, won’t schedule hair and makeup for you, won’t work to style your outfits and coordinate locations that you want and will hand you a disc of images and make you do all the work yourself.

If you want a seamless experience, make sure that your photographer offers that! Ask if they help style you for your photos. Ask if they will make sure that your hair and makeup is exactly how you envision it and if the hair and makeup artist is going to come with you on-location to make sure everything looks perfect throughout the shoot. Ask if they’ll sit down with you and help you pick out the perfect images for your album or wall art.

These are going to make a huge difference in your senior photos and something that you should absolutely be asking your senior photographer about!
